What We Do
Tech for good! Our SaaS product Dentally, solves real-world problems across three core areas.
Clinical; AI‑powered diagnostics and note-taking, giving dentists an extra set of expert eyes on every x‑ray, further detecting subtle signs across conditions and boosting clinical accuracy in seconds.
Practice Management - Automating everything, ensuring dental practices get admin done quicker! Payments, Workflows & Patient Management, 3rd Party Integration, Reporting and Staff Instant Messaging.
Patient Experience - A digital-first experience that empowers patients to manage appointments, complete medical forms, and make payments - all from their own device. No more old-school phone calls and paper forms.
Product Development Culture
We are problem solvers, not ticket takers.
We champion creative problem-solving and value autonomy, trust, and impactful outcomes over rigid processes. Delivering improvements rapidly, we engage in iterative 6-week cycles, addressing user needs and enabling technical innovation - balancing technical debt, bugs, and team growth. We are a continuous delivery focused group, shipping changes to production 200+ times per month.
At our core is the customer. Every solution we deliver is crafted with customer success in mind, building relationships that go beyond transactions and ensuring that as team members, we all prioritise customer success in every aspect of our work. We build software that delivers value for our users and resist the urge to over-engineer our solutions. We let our users and the data tell us where we go next

Your Impact
As Senior Manager, Software Engineering, you shape technical direction across multiple product verticals, with a strong focus on using AI and modern engineering approaches to accelerate product delivery, improve engineering productivity and raise the quality bar across our existing products. You are energised by new technology and actively explore how advances in AI, automation and contemporary software practices can transform how teams build, test and evolve customer‑facing capabilities. You set group‑wide expectations for architecture, quality, security and operational maturity, while leading cross‑vertical initiatives that reduce systemic risk and enable teams to move faster without sacrificing reliability.
Your leadership ensures engineering teams are equipped with the right tools, practices and technical clarity to deliver high‑quality outcomes at pace, supporting dental practice automation and exceptional patient experiences for thousands of practices and millions of patients. You partner closely with Product, Design, Data, Security and Operations leaders to sequence multi‑quarter roadmaps, align investment to strategy and communicate clear, pragmatic trade‑offs to leadership. You champion responsible AI and LLM adoption as a core part of product engineering, accelerating developer effectiveness, shortening feedback loops and unlocking new customer‑facing capabilities, while remaining firmly aligned with our strategy.

What You'll Do
You will be a leader of leaders, with 3-4 Team Leads/Engineering Managers reporting into you. You will be able to lead through others but also dive deep into the detail – technical, strategic and tactical – when necessary.
Set architectural direction and guardrails that improve scalability, security, performance and cost efficiency; identify structural technical risks early and drive organisational solutions.
Help define organisation-wide quality standards and patterns (code, testing, observability) and lead programs that reduce systemic technical debt and delivery friction across groups.
Champion responsible AI adoption: set guidance and standards for AI/LLM use in developer workflows and product features; measure impact on productivity and quality while managing risk.
Drive high engineering productivity and faster speed to market without compromising quality, reliability or maintainability.
Establish and uplift incident response maturity (on-call structures, SLOs, alert quality, playbooks) and lead preventative reliability initiatives that reduce incident volume and severity.
Collaborate in multi-quarter planning across verticals, sequence large initiatives, make dependency and capacity trade-offs and ensure predictable delivery at group scale.
Lead change governance at scale: ensure compliant, low risk change processes; align Engineering, Product, Data, Security, and Operations around a shared change lifecycle.
Build durable executive and cross-functional alignment; communicate strategy, decisions and trade-offs with clarity; anticipate and resolve misalignment early.
Shape org design and resourcing for your group: optimise spans/layers, team topology, and succession planning; anticipate future skill/capability needs and align headcount to strategy.
Define and track group-level engineering KPIs, including SLO attainment, MTTR and incident severity trends, change failure rate, deployment frequency, lead time for changes, build time, adoption of standards and cost efficiency, using insights to steer priorities.
Ensure alignment and delivery of our strategy across verticals, translating business goals into clear engineering outcomes.
